“To kick things off, my team and I set up a basic #server and a few other technical nuances. Then we asked Claude to code up a tool to replace our leave and #HR platform. Four hours later we had a system that rivalled many of #EmploymentHero’s features on the open market. We were suspicious. Did it even work? After guinea pigging Claude’s first draft with a few colleagues and ironing out several bugs, it worked flawlessly. Saving? $700 a month.
“Yesterday’s software darlings might still drag a few tired rabbits out of the hat to save themselves, but I doubt it.”
The excitement was building – what could we target next? Our expensive e-Commerce analytics tool #ProfitPeak ($2500 per month) quickly bit the digital dust. Syncing data between Meta, Google and Shopify was a little challenging, but nothing Claude couldn’t handle in a couple of days.
Our horizons started to expand. How about #Confluence, and #Jira – #Atlassian’s Golden Goose. This took a week to get right, back and forth with #Claude #debugging issues. Outside a few minor quarrels, Claude powered on and built us 80 per cent of what we needed out of the Atlassian suite.”
80 / 20 rule.
All those costly (most in USD) bits of service software, important to run a company, being eaten alive by AI retooling
