Starting a thread of random house and techno records which seem noteworthy to me.
No particular order. Nor any criteria beyond "this is great somehow". Maybe somebody will enjoy some too.
Will probably do another thread of acoustic-style stuff - reggae, soul and the like. But starting here because it's my mood.

The Unknown Soldier - Babylon's Gifts
Don't really know much about this, except it featured on Interstellar Fugitives 2. Doesn't even appear on his Discogs page.
But just so good. I can't stop listening. Dark, sci-fi sound.

Frankie Knuckles featuring Jamie Principle - I'll Take You There:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg3dxJgrAuY
Just an absolute masterpiece. Beautiful sounds from Frankie, matched perfectly with Jamie's wonderful voice.
Listening to it is bittersweet - knowing Frankie has long passed.
I can't help but feel *this* is the true utopia - when we can live with each other without prejudice or violence. Forget flying cars and robots - *this* is what we need.
RIP Frankie

Second one from Robert Hood. The Greatest Dancer (Live at Motor).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlkyFp5zepg
Techno cover of an old disco record. Specifically this recording of the live version, with vocals by Marlin Wilson-Threatt.
Had the privilege of seeing Hood somewhere, around the start of the century. Not sure where. Orbit, maybe, who knows.
Played this. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Turned the club upside down. Incredible.

And of course, how can this masterpiece be absent from this playlist:
Frankie Knuckles feat Jamie Principle - Your Love
I mean like, it's as close to perfect as any record can be. Sublime. Timeless. Still magnificent now almost 40 years later.

️Another absolute classic:
CeCe Rogers - Someday
Produced by Marshall Jefferson in 1987. Feels like we're now getting further and further away from his dream as the years go by.

Incredible track from one of the originators:
Reese - Bassline
So funky, such a groove, so uplifting. Reese aka Kevin Saunderson aka The Elevator. From 91 maybe.
LOVE Kevin Saunderson. One of my favourite musicians, his works had a big impact on me.

And another from Saunderson, here with Santonio Echols:
Reese & Santonio - Forcefield
From 88 but just sounds timeless, like it could have been made now. Hypnotic. Dark. Funk. Blows me away how good this is.
