    2026 in a nutshell:

"The richest man on Earth killed the poorest children."

Another reason we should get rid of the super rich, one way or another

@stux When 3.5 billion people are in poverty it is insane to have millionaires and obscene to have billionaires.

Until we can start to address gigantic and growing inequalities, the human race is doomed.

@stux And absolutely the singular reason no one should ever buy any of his products ever again.

        Don't use Twitter.

        Don't buy a Tesla.

        Don't pay for StarLink.

Don't use Tesla chargers or Powerwall batteries.

The man is a stain on humanity, and unless we all stop giving him our money, he will continue to get rich off of us, and stay protected against his actions - even when those actions kill millions.

At what point will the term "mass murderer" finally stick to this asshole?

@darkpaw the problem still remains - he is simply too rich 🤢 for it to make any difference in his abominable existence @stux

While I'm no fan of wealth inequality, I'm also not going to sit here and pretend I want to get rid of Mackenzie Scott, who has donated billions of dollars to great causes, including becoming the single largest donor to historically black colleges (HBCUs).

I'll take generous billionaires over racist, bigoted, working class MAGA voters, who elected a guy that promised the bloody deportation of a million immigrants, any day of the week.

              @failedLyndonLaRouchite @stux
In every region, wealthy individuals invest in assets like stocks, real estate, and businesses. These assets generate high returns over time, multiplying existing wealth. While the cost of living rises, lower-income wages often remain flat. This reduces the actual purchasing power of the poor. Price increases on essential goods (food, rent) consume a larger percentage of a poor household's income than a rich household's income.

77 million people voted for this and another 90 million stayed home because both sides are the same. I can assure you that the majority of people supporting these atrocities are not wealthy, they're just bigoted, racist, lowlifes.

your reply raises so many complex questions, that I am unable to know if I agree or disagree

for instance, if we look at extreme poverty, there has been a huge global decrease (decrease) over the past 50 years
                    https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-evolution-of-global-poverty-1990-2030/

In the US, real (inflation adjusted) median household income has gone up a lot since 1984

however, what is true is that while real incomes are growing, a larger percent of the pie is going to the rich, that is a very real thing

@HakeemG @stux I did not get a vote this year. Due to Local government reorganisation our elections were put back a year. This gives the Labour/Cooperative party* in my local wards a year to a0disociate themselves from Starmer and b)make the case to vote Labour/cooperative on the results of the current,Lab/Coop. council

                            * Truth in tooting, I am a member of both parties/
