I got a bunch of thief tools from a friend of mine tonight. He caught a homeless guy cutting the locks off some storage containers at his warehouse the other night. The guy ran off and left his backpack of stuff behind.
My friend called the police to ask what to do with the stuff. They told him they didn't want to deal with the paperwork of booking it into evidence and to keep it.
So, i got two cordless Makita sawzalls, a large pair of bolt cutters, and some other odds and ends. The guy also had a cordless angle grinder, but he took that with him when he ran off.

@MLE_online Maybe when he can’t get into a house he fills it with water and floats the stealable items letterbox height and pulls them out that way

@MLE_online thats a good haul of useful stuff. I wonder what the hose and the washing line style cordage were for!

@concretedog @MLE_online leverage? hose looks like a collapsible one, slide a coil of it through a small opening, connect to a nearby hose connector and use the hydraulic power to wedge an opening even more? rope i would figure for something similar? Shrug we need a mcgyver type to explain this

@RobeeShepherd @MLE_online I'm now imagining Daniel Stern pitching that as a plan to Joe Pesci "Hey, after all, we're the wet bandits!"
