The UN is divided, the Pope: “Stop the spiral of violence.”
The United Nations Security Council is divided with Russia and China condemning the joint action. No Western leaders mourn the death of the Supreme Guide, but they fear uncertainty. The pontiff’s appeal: “Stop the spiral of violence before it becomes an irreparable abyss.”
