The thesis of season one of the #anime PSYCHO-PASS was: just as it is the purpose of the #law to guard a citizenry from mistreatment, it is the purpose of a citizenry to guard the law from mistreatment.
I've been thinking about that ever since. I have read legal philosophy, law reviews, and so on, for years; but I've never found that reciprocal give-and-take idea presented as comprehensively anywhere else.
By the way, PSYCHO-PASS got some new writers after that season—its quality declined as time went on.
