        @yosh not in my pasta sauce. No sugar either. But sometimes in the roasted veggies or some other sides. I don't think it's the right flavor for pasta sauce.

              @paoloredaelli umami extract, typically made from seaweed. It's a white powder with coarse crystals.

              Think of it as the umami equivalent of salt, sugar, and vinegar.

                Oh! Here in Italy we often use Dado da cucina https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dado_%28cucina%29 aka Bouillon cube - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bouillon_cube which contains 10-15% msg.
                So yes it is a quick trick to flavour foods.

                    @yosh parmesan and tomatoes both have msg naturally so yes?
