I've been working on an edit of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) for a while now-- because I thought it was a great film that was completely ruined by Chris Pratt.
So I removed him from the movie, and it's so much better for it!!

I really enjoyed making this edit. I was aiming for changing the story only slightly; it's clear the Mario family are Italian immigrants, so it makes sense that not all of them have a strong grasp of English yet.
Luigi is always there for his brother, and often ends up translating for him in effect early on in the film. Their father also speaks Italian to his family during periods of emotional intensity.

I've also included subtitles with this release!
After watching through the film, I realized there was only one line that needed to be translated to make the whole film parse properly. (It's like they realized how bad a decision Chris Pratt was as Mario, and cut most of his lines from the film!)
So, naturally, I edited the subtitles to match the edited film.

@mawr This is so funny lol. Honestly I'm surprised it took until now for someone to make a Prattless Edition that just replaces his lines with the Italian VA (Tbh you probably could have replaced it with the dub in any other language. Like I recall someone posting a clip from the French version and Mario also actually sounds like Mario in that lol).

@FamiliarAlien Seriously!! I checked out some other dubs and they also sounded so much better than Pratt. I went with Italian for obvious reasons
Looking forward to making the new one Prattless as well!

@FamiliarAlien Seriously!! I checked out some other dubs and they also sounded so much better than Pratt. I went with Italian for obvious reasons
Looking forward to making the new one Prattless as well!
