It's not *quite* GM sounds — it sounds very evocative of them, while being a bit cleaner and more interesting than pure GM sounds.
As far as age, I am squarely millennial (33 y/o).

@sean_ae @elifyalvac @oscillik @Cognessence Besides the authentic, 8-bit sample-playback is a very sophisticated sequencer. Some of the features I wish would be ported to current elektron boxes! Step-jump, step-push, direction, and some hidden stuff, too.

I mean, making the first bits of the "conversation" consonant, and then doing odd turns on the third stroke.

edit: i lied, im in love with the bridge where the drums drop out & it kicks back in w/ the brass solo, those sections are great -

@sean_ae @Cognessence @elifyalvac @oscillik @Rushup_Dee the gm stuff only really sounds interesting when augmented, like some artists do on orange milk for example. if i had to choose between different sound sources for pc i'd absolutely never take gm tho, especially if you had the option for adlib or yamaha fm (like on the x68000 for example with its base sound chip) or like gravis ultrasound-like wavetable instead.
