A big #PrivacyWin today as my band #Slugmilk asked me for an alternative to the band's #discord server. They are NOT infosec folks, so I was some proud when they decided enough is enough.
We now have a private #matrix server which we #selfhost. Everyone has their own slugmilk.org username and everything!
Matrix is far from perfect, but this is exactly what we need, and it is under our ownership and control.
Now to get them all on the #Fediverse!

We also updated https://slugmilk.org to point to our first real website, instead of a #linktree.
It's a static site authored in #markdown and generated by #Hugo.
Eventually we will integrate our 27-albums-to-date in a #Faircamp page.

Yes! Even a bad website is orders of magnitude better than a linktree!
