Eight password reset emails in a row that I didn’t trigger from Instagram. From my dormant, locked account that uses an anonymized email address. Nothing to be suspicious about right?

@jerry actually my username is just micahflee, so they probably used that with learning the email

@micahflee @jerry They don't need to learn the mail, they can just try to log in with the username and say "forgot password" and it will send it to you.

@micahflee I keep getting notifications of a new message from someone who has absolutely locked their account and not logged in in about a decade.

I have no idea what is going on there.

@Lee_Holmes always nice they do things like that several times, making sure that it wasn't you who did it by mistake.. 😅

These "locks" you mention. Tell me about these Meta locks.

@xgranade @micahflee Not sure what is going on there, but once, probably in the 1980s at a point where the general public couldn't yet use the Internet, I saw an email at work that literally arrived a year late - it had been sitting in some queue all that time. I'd imagine that whatever caused that behavior has been fixed by now.
