    πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Canada's Privacy Act is finally up for review. 40 years is long enough–don't let Ottawa rewrite the rules that govern all public sector agencies without YOU!

    🚨 Take the quick survey by June 15!

      @adamsdesk @OpenMediaOrg @controlc I read the survey, but TBQH I want to see modern, technologist-designed ideas.

      For example a legal mandate from the government that:

      * businesses/banks can't require email or non-end-to-end encrypted messaging
      * real 2FA not SMS nonsense
      * fines they pay, you get, when businesses lose or misuse your data
      * fair access to government/public services without requiring an app from one of two U.S. companies
      * minimum data collection required, eg: why DOB?
      * etc...

          @adamsdesk @OpenMediaOrg @controlc All I could really fit into the char limit, but could be more clearly expanded and I'd love to see a government that actually wants to "do it right".

              @adamsdesk @OpenMediaOrg @controlc About a month ago, my bank (I do not have an email or phone number on file) sent me a letter telling me they're mandating a cell phone number for SMS as a 2FA option.

              No they don't support TOTP. Why is my service becoming less secure?

              This is Scotia Bank btw. Anywhere works there or can fight this, please lmk!
