And frankly it fits with all these half-apocalypses we've been getting. "We're getting a worldwide pandemic!" - actually we make it through, kinda. "The largest economy in the world is cutting itself off from the rest of the world!" - nah, only kind of? "Global war right now!" - ehhh... maybe? "AI replacing everyone!" - not now, probably?

Indeed it's easy to get the distinct impression that God just doesn't care at all.
