    Avoiding vendor Lock-in is now one of the driving forces behind Open Source adoption in Europe. It clearly shows that IT leaders have understood that you cannot be at the mercy of a single vendor or foreign government. After all, you cannot control your digital destiny, if an orange temper tantrum can cut off your services at any second.

It clearly shows that IT leaders have understood that you cannot be at the mercy of a single vendor or foreign government. After all, you cannot control your digital destiny, if an orange temper tantrum can cut off your services at any second.

      @kdkorte It's tragic that it has taken this long to realise. Now for the next lesson kids: If you want to use free software you also need to fund its development as a public good.

        @infidel Next you are telling people, that if you save 500$/month with Open Source, they might as well give back some of it to the tools they are using.
