@cherylwriting I only discovered Mandel for the first time a few weeks ago when I saw Station Eleven recommended at the library. It was so gripping I had to read more. I've just today finished The Glass Hotel. I agree - it is brilliant. Gripping.Tricky. Clever.

she's 100% right. mistakes are financially expensive and when you're broke any mistake can be catastrophic
