L'arma di Teheran che più danni sta facendo e che più preoccupa Israele e Stati Uniti sono i droni. In particolare i velivoli "kamikaze" Shahed: facili da costruire, poco costosi e quindi utilizzabili in attacchi di massa per saturare i sistemi di difesa aerea nemici. Per questo Stati Uniti e alleati in Medio Oriente hanno cercato aiuto nella ricerca di sistemi più efficaci ed economici: lo hanno trovato nell'Ucraina, che ha maturato un'esperienza inestimabile nella guerra dei droni. L'azienda ucraina SkyFall utilizza stampanti 3D che sfornano componenti in plastica per droni, assemblati sul posto: assicura di poter produrre fino a 50.000 droni intercettori ed esportarne dai 5.000 ai 10.000 al mese con l'ok del governo di Kiev

Specifically, the “kamikaze” Shahed aircraft: easy to build, inexpensive, and therefore usable in mass attacks to saturate enemy air defense systems. For this reason, the United States and allies in the Middle East have sought help in finding more effective and economical systems – they found it in Ukraine, which has gained invaluable experience in drone warfare. The Ukrainian company SkyFall uses 3D printers that churn out plastic drone components, assembled on site: it assures that it can produce up to 50,000 interceptor drones and export between 5,000 and 10,000 per month with the approval of the Kiev government.
