Just finished rewatching the first Resident Evil flick again the other day, and I still love it despite the janky cg (and how it's not super faithful to the game). What struck me while watching it this time is that Milla Jovovich is such a cool actress. I remember thinking she was great in The Fifth Element when I first saw it, in theaters, in 1997- but she REALLY shone when I saw that first Resident Evil flick in 2002. Wow. And I forgot, there's the censored version of a Slipknot song over the end credits.

@wendigo oh awesome! Yeah I've been wanting to watch em all through again, like I did a while back with all the Underworld flicks. Love all of both. The Resident Evil ones, it's wild to see the quality and filming improve throughout them.
But this was impressive shit for 2002! -
