Absolutely. I started working on rebuilding modern computing to make it better serve the needs of normal humans over 20 years ago. The things that I do that pay the bills are creating building blocks for that. If I had unlimited funding, I’d do the same thing, only more so.

@lritter yes. I would actually spend more time with computers if i didn't regularly have to deal with the revolting parts. It still feels absolutely great when I'm able to focus on something meaningful to me for six hours straight. But then something comes up because something always comes up.

And I still consider myself one of the lucky ones. Literally zero assholes I have to deal with for work. Just lots of good people stressed for different reasons. Mostly caused by computers.
