I'm having problems between my toot.community account (TC) and a separate Pixefed account (PX), where I post pictures (and take the burden off you server!)I would like to follow my PX account on TC: @blabberlicious@pixelfed.social
1. Search and find PX account it in TC
2. Follow the TX account
3. Add it to a list
4. Turn on post notifications for the followed TX account.continues....

@blabberlicious@toot.community Maybe it’s Pixelfed not sending it yet, or caching issue. Have you tried Vernissage.photos ?

In theory, when I post to PX, I should get notified in TC, and be able to boost to to TC followers.
But:
can't see any PX post in my TC feed!
don't get notifications
don't appear in my list of followed accounts (or my custom list)something is broken. My suspicion is the profile is malformed or stuck in cache, because the avatar and copy in the description for the PX account is OLD. It hasn't synced with the live PX biog.

Is there any way you check its not a server issue?Perhaps try following my PX and seeing if you get alters when I post from PX?@blabberlicious@pixelfed.social

I just followed your px feed and it's appearing in my Pashli (android) client like any other mastodon posts.
I've never worked out the benefit of pixelfed over just photos on mastodon posts though

cheers. I like being able to curate my photography a bit more when sharing. Especially if I want to share a collection of many photos for an event or project.Just last night, I met another photographer and was able to quickly share some work.
Yes, I could use hashtags, but I'm not that organised.
I suspect the issue is top do with toot.community not refreshing cache from PX.

yeah. I'll give it a few days.
The Pixel fed app is a bit flakey too.There was an option to make the account private (checked), that doesn't appear in the web version!
That caught me out. I use Ivory, and I can boost SOME of the PX posts to Mastodon from the boost button, but not others. No idea why

One of the things I learned is that on pixefled you can post more than 4 pictures in a post. If you follow from mastodon this will be trunked to the first 4 pictures

One of the things I learned is that on pixefled you can post more than 4 pictures in a post. If you follow from mastodon this will be trunked to the first 4 pictures

Hey. The DB shows pf.social never accepted your follow, as it's stuck in "pending" state. This means pixelfed.social doesn't send any updates here. The next step would be to toggle the follow button. Can you unfollow the acount, wait a few minutes and then follow it again? The "accept" message from pixelfed.social -> toot.community probably got lost in transit.
I just followed the account myself, which prompted pixelfed.social to also send us the new avatar.

Interestingly, from PX website, I can’t see my @blabberlicious account, just the @blabberlicious@vernissage.photos
And some other older unused accounts.
