Where are the checks and balances? I’m searching for the checks and balances this government likes to talk about. You seen any of them lately? If I can’t get a check I’ll take 2 balances.
American citizens being left in other countries because a compromised White House is too busy starting a fake war for a genocidal, illegal settler country to cover for his pdfile terrorist friends.

But a little bit of American history I picked up from some random spot. I don’t even remember now..
George Washington, in his farewell address stated quite openly that political parties overcome the checks and balances of the constitution because they override the individual motivations of unaffiliated representatives for party objectives. Nothing was ever done about it.

@ErickaSimone something I learned from French history (being french). A system of government that kinda work need constant fixing. Like we regularly (as in every decade) have some kind of constitutional amendment to this day. And historically it took us a looooot of rewriting and instability to get to anything close to some checks and balances.
The US system of government is not "changing" enough to be a working one. It is ok to have big problems in how a system of government works. What is not ok is when you do not have means or impetus to *change it* when you find problems in order to try to fix it.

Well, I got a quick lesson from people who set up their filters when I mangled word with punctuation. They got grumpy and said hey you know we’ve got filters and you’re defeating those.
With Chinese are amazing at this stuff apparently because of censors. I would guess it’s something about an art form.
