@CliffsEsport I mean personally that's a bit potato/potato, when I say 'patch against [security issue]' I usually mean 'installed something to mitigate the issue', even if that's a workaround until the long term patch lands.

Although I can imagine some companies might run into bandwidth issues without the acceleration; though same could be said about the Spectre mitigations so, in the end 'patching' could just mean any type of mitigation in this context
