    I’m not here to convince LLM boosters to not use LLMs

    I’m here to protect myself and other vulnerable people from the damage the boosters are causing with LLMs

    no I won’t be nice about this

    being nice neither convinces the boosters nor protects anyone

    debating the merits of using LLMs only legitimizes the damage being caused

      @zzt the time to debate merits was 2024; we are firmly in the era of digging a hole for our bunker to ride this shit out and hope we can pop out when the background radiation normalizes

        @Rycochet At root, there is no "fixing" what is highly detrimental to current instabilities, increasing globally.

        It's an insulting, blatant #DivideAndConquer strategy to further enrich the wealthiest .01% #TechBros, at the expense of the masses. And with near zero consideration for future generations.

        Replace #TechBros and #FossilFuels leaders with ethical #RootInfrastructure #scientists.

          @Rycochet @zzt

          Why cant we just poison every single piece of data valuable for AI companies, or at least poison it as much as possible so it is harder to get quality data?

            But still, i think what we all can do is use less AI slopified stuff like youtube, or literally anything from big tech like microslop with their copilot, use only open source and user respecting platforms, eventually bubble will pop, but before that... i recommend you to check out what a "Reticulum" network stack is, maybe it will be a safe space for humans to wait off this sloppagedon

              This is because AI use is like trolling, in that for it to be successful it fundamental needs to exploit others.

              The majority of the advantages people get from AI is from shifting burden to others, not by making the total work less. For example slop written documents save the writer time at the cost of the reader's time trying to decipher the word soup.

              If AI users took ownership over the quality and actually edited their slop, all their time savings disappear.
