    If you are still wondering about the stubbornness of the #FossilFools in charge...

    Update: it brings me no pleasure to report that apparently this cartoon is from the 70s, and things have not changed one damn bit.

    @pezmico it's ok, they will invade the countries that have the required minerals and own those mines too. 😞

      @pezmico on the radio today, someone was reporting that the "dry year" stockpile thing started in the 1990s, and i had to shout that we knew full well about climate change back then, too!

        @pezmico

        Madness is unstoppable.
        That old cartoon still holds up well after being over fifty years old.

          @pezmico With a million Starlink satellites in orbit, the muskrat will probably also try to block out the Sun for us...

              @pezmico According to this PDF (haven't verified it's real)

              https://www.worthingtoncaron.com/documents/1982-APRIL-1-1982_%E2%80%9CCO2-%E2%80%98GREENHOUSE%E2%80%99-EFFECT.pdf

              Exxon seemed to have believed in "Greenhouse" Effect, but don't talk with outsiders about it...

                @pezmico If.he was smart, he'd note that making solar panels requires a little bit of coal, which he owns. One solar cell factory later, and the solar revolution is also a source of money for him.

                    @pezmico

                    In reality they never owned any of that stuff, it belonged to the people, It was just given to them by governments that they owned.

                      Not enough has been done, but there have been big improvements in solar technology and its adoption.
