@tml It could be the Furka Pass. According to Wikipedia, the RhB 12 now belongs to the DFB (Dampfbahn-Furka-Bergstrecke).

@bovine3dom @cycling_on_rails @markusr I can imagine some American (sorry, but they are so easy to poke fun at) spreading this video with the description "this is how the Swiss maintain their railway network in winter", as if it was a regular thing all around the country.

volunteer railway rescues an incredible machine that had been derelict for 50 years, they spend _18 YEARS_ refurbishing it and finally get it into a condition where it can be used for short periods on their railway
and it goes viral with someone claiming it is how some other railway has always been maintaining their tracks
the reality is much more impressive!

@markusr i "unfollow boosts" when i see retooted rubbish and it makes my feeds a lot better. i suspect most instances won't have rules against spreading misinformation but maybe some will
