@Vivaldi nowadays its usually not a good thing when a company makes an announcement.
so I have mixed emotions about this...Maybe if you announced an independent European web engine under the hood. That would be exciting!

My experience with pre-hyping for the last few years is that the end result is usually something so unfortunate the hype is there to at least average a neutral reaction.
I'm ready ready to be pleasantly surprised, you wouldn't let me down would you? -

My mood is based on asking for a resolution to the uniquely identifying usercount Vivaldi uses, the promise from Julien to move away from it - And then complete silence for a few years before a quiet notice that you decided to stick with it.
