    @catsalad provided they got consent first, yes. there is applicable online precedent but it's a trifle squicky.

      @catsalad I think vegans can eat meat if the meat source consents, so the real answer is "it depends".

      @ainmosni @catsalad Wasn't that a whole Thing a while back where a consenting person wanted to have a part of them amputated and eaten by someone else? I don't remember what happened to that - likely they couldn't find any hospital ethics board willing to sign off on it.

        @catsalad well, it depends if they bite a human or an animal.
        In the same way of thinking, if you make cheese with your own milk, is it vegan?

            @catsalad

            if a vegan bites someone, they lose vegan status for 48 hours.

              @catsalad Did the biting vegan get consent before biting? This affects the answer.

                @paul_ipv6 @catsalad Do they also lose their vegan superpowers?

                  @GalbinusCaeli @catsalad

                  more importantly, they lose the right to tell eveyone they meet that they are vegan.

                    @catsalad doesn't it also depend on who they bite? For example, if they bite a vegan, they are still vegan, maybe. If they bite Trump, they might still be vegan because he contains no substance known to biology.

                      @JessTheUnstill @catsalad That was here in Germany indeed, you can read more about it here. The homocide complicates the matter though.
