@Toxic_Flange @mttaggart I've been wanting to get into cleaning up and restoring old systems. A show like that would be the kick-in-the-ass I need to get started.

@mttaggart I could bring in my Exidy Sorcerer and be told "wow, those are really rare. Not worth anything either, of course."

@mttaggart I remember fondly the days of the computer show and hamfest combo at the local county fairgrounds

@mttaggart "This floppy disk of EA's _Pinball Construction Set_ for the Apple ][+ would be worth quite a bit.. if not for the fact that all of the magnetic media has degraded entirely."

@TheIdOfAlan "What have you brought us today?"

"I have two sticks of 32GB DDR5 that my grandfather left us. We have always just kept them on the mantle, since we don't have any computers that would fit them."

"Well your grandfather gave you quite the inheritance. See this faded mark right here? That's the mark of an old computer part manufacturer, Corsair. They were prolific in the early to mid 21st century, right before the Collapse. This kind of memory was highly valued at that time for AI computing.

"If the right collector were to show up, at auction, I believe this set could fetch for anywhere between thirty and fifty thousand AmericaBucks. You should insure them for twice that amount."

                              "Wow. Wow. Thanks granddad."
