AGI - Jannik Sinner batte l'americano Frances Tiafoe e va in semifinale al Masters 1000 di Miami. L'italiano ha superato ai quarti l'avversario in due set con un doppio 6-2 in un'ora e 12 minuti di gioco. Ora affronterà il vincente del quarto di finale tra Cerundolo e Zverev.
"Per me continuare ad essere affamato di vittorie è piuttosto naturale - ha affermato Sinner che adesso è in vantaggio su Tiafoe per 5-1 -. Oggi ho cominciato bene, subito un break e questo è molto importante: perché quando gli altri giocano in modo più aggressivo, resto compatto. Ho servito bene, ho giocato un tennis solido e questo mi rende soddisfatto".
Il segreto dei buoni risultati
Reduce dalla vittoria a Indian Wells, Sinner ha rivelato il segreto di questa striscia vincente che sta proseguendo anche a Miami: "Sono sereno anche fuori dal campo, perché ho giocato davvero tanto nelle ultime tre o quattro settimane, tra partite e allenamenti. Qui è l'ultimo torneo sul cemento prima della pausa verso la terra rossa, sono felice di essere tornato di nuovo almeno in semifinale".

The Italian defeated his opponent in the quarter-final in two sets with a double 6-2 in one hour and 12 minutes of play. “For me, continuing to be hungry for victories is quite natural – said Sinner, who is now leading Tiafoe 5-1 –. Today I started well, immediately a break and this is very important: because when the others play in a more aggressive way, I remain compact. Following his victory in Indian Wells, Sinner revealed the secret of this winning streak that is continuing in Miami: “I am calm both on and off the court, because I have played a lot in the last three or four weeks, between matches and training.
