FRANCE CONVENES UN SECURITY COUNCIL IN 2.5 HOURS OVER MIDDLE EAST CRISIS

France has called an emergency UN Security Council meeting to address the escalating Middle East conflict, scheduled to begin in approximately 2.5 hours. The urgent session comes as the war between Iran and the US-Israel coalition expands to new fronts with confirmed strikes on Iran, Israel, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait.

French President Macron earlier warned the conflict "will have serious consequences for peace and international security" and "must be stopped."

The meeting represents the first major international diplomatic response since the conflict erupted. However, with a permanent member (the United States) directly involved in combat operations, prospects for meaningful action remain uncertain. Russia and China have already condemned Western actions.
