So, there’s a lot going on.

@fskornia @MissConstrue me, too. I literally do not care and wish the same level of "you do you" to be afforded to me.
I haven't seen any negative reactions because I didn't seek out any updates after seeing a few headlines.
I'm not surprised there was blowback, but I didn't realize "we" were participating.
Like, "you go, girl; you deserve a less evil wife".
Oh yeah, I want tribunals for all of them. Everybody involved in this administration. Everyone who bribed this administration. Everyone around the administration who acted on those bribes. Just...erybody.

@jawarajabbi Well, knowing intelligence, this has been known all along, and someone was waiting for the right moment to stick the knife in.
IMHO, There is absolutely zero chance that intelligence agencies of at least 7 nations didn't know about this before she was confirmed. Whether it ever traveled up the chain to leadership? No way of knowing. But I refuse to believe the panopticon didn't know. Someone was holding this as either blackmail or for this very event.
But then, I'm not an intelligence operative, and I have read probably far too many spy novels while waiting at airports pre cellphone era.
Agreed this was released strategically by someone. I'd be disappointed if it wasn't Iran if I'm being honest. I know they're assholes but they certainly can be justified in fucking with us now. I just don't think as far as I can see that it's getting much purchase in the pro-democracy media that I am centered in.

@MissConstrue
it ain't the kinks, it's the hypocrisy, the endless hypocrisy of rounding people up, to imprison and even kill, because of the color of their immigrant skin and doing it under the banner of "Homeland Security" as if their Norske immigrant grandparents somehow in just a couple generations earned them the right to call America *their* homeland, it's the hypocrisy, that & the ignorance of these 2, smart enough to take millions, every damn year, in farm welfare tho! it ain't the kinks@goatrodeo @MissConstrue Stupidest thing ever, to judge a person on their skin tone. As if anybody gets to choose. As if they chose theirs.

@melioristicmarie Yeah, it's a really fine line I'm trying to walk. I despise all that the Noems represent, and yet I can't help but feel pity for someone living with that sort of cognitive dissonance, and have to remind myself that unlike all the transkids forced into the closet, he has the privilege of walking away and doing whatever he wants.
I think what set me off initially, is that I was seeing (not on fedi) much "tee-hee isn't it funny he wore ladies clothes."
And I mean, now that I've seen the pictures, he didn't even do that. Monty Python did better crossdressing.
More than anything, perhaps it was a statement to myself to make sure that my comments about it were about *him* and not a reflection upon other people who believe there's nothing wrong with something a bit lacy.
folks who teehee an other's consensual kink are assholes. they are for me, in the same boat as the bullies at my offspring's school who belittle kids who play games, carry fun character backpacks and the like.
my distain for their vile anti-social normalization runs deep. they are fascist flavored pro-pretty-only people and my bite at their sort of comments is direct. they are not fine when they cross the line.
growl.
(thank you for tooting more kindly than i)
