If you feel you've done a good job "keeping your woman in line," know that a big reason she stays is not because she thinks you're too big and strong to defy, but actually, she finds you too broken and pathetic to function on your own. She thinks, "I'm strong enough to take this, but he's too weak to do anything without me." You fucked her up, sure. But when you hit her, she thinks YOU'RE weak. Not her.
