My SO loves procedurals; so sometimes I watch a few episodes with her.
And it always takes me aback how on almost every show and on almost every episode I can always spot the at least one cop doing something blatantly illegal that the show depicts as being either necessary for the cops to do their job, or it being harmless to anyone except for the criminals involved.

And it always takes me aback how on almost every show and on almost every episode I can always spot the at least one cop doing something blatantly illegal that the show depicts as being either necessary for the cops to do their job, or it being harmless to anyone except for the criminals involved.
And this brings me back to my wish, of finally finding a movie or show, where the protagonist starts out as a cop... but realizes the error of his ways and ceases to completely be another ACAB... and becomes a farmer, or a teacher, or a postman.
I know, I know.
No one else but me wants to watch a show about an ACAB renouncing his badge AND gun in order to become a hero of the proletariat.

@afreytes Not the main plot arc of the show, but Pryzbelewski (probably misspelled) does that (cop to teacher) in season 4 of "The Wire"
