they're lovely there, with the sky and green and tiles. although it's a tall grafted rose, and the rootstock is GOING FOR IT, so the top part is struggling rather. we keep cutting the root shoots, but it keeps putting out more ...

we did root one last year actually and its flowers are so pretty: similar colour but slightly less ... in your face ... and shaped more like a dog rose.
