“The gay community can be hypocritical at times, just like the straight community. Some people say it’s more accepting and less judgmental, but that isn’t always true. People can still be criticized for their looks, who they’re attracted to, where they go, what they do, or what they wear. Even though the community understands what it’s like to face hate and discrimination, those same behaviors can sometimes show up within the community itself.”
