#EroticMusings 36 — Do any of your characters, like the waxing and waning moon, show different aspects of self that they cycle / transition between? Natural cycles like menstruation, or more fantastical?

This is a paranormal romance, so we have the mortals: humans, and the immortals: vampires, and werewolves, and other creatures. This is fantasy. Ironically, vampires and werewolves have their own cycles of being, but they're connected to the phases of the moon. It affects their moods, how they behave, etc. So, yes, they *do* have their own aspects of self that they will cycle or transition between. They change throughout the month. But like I said, it's directly affected by the phases of the moon. For instance, a wolf might be more apt to mate with their significant other prior to the full moon. They're more feral, more bestial, more of the creature they become on a full moon, even if they can also shift at will throughout the month. During a full moon, they become the wolf, no matter how hard they try to fight it. There's no stopping it, and they can sometimes become murderous creatures—that is, unless they've learned how to control the beast inside of them.

#EroticMusings 37 — Does any of your erotica take place during festivals or cultural celebrations? Why do / don't you include such events in your work?

Ironically, yes. All Hallow's Eve plays a major role in this story. For the paranormal creatures, it's an important time to year. I enjoy creating or including pre-existing "holidays," festivals, or celebrations in my stories.

#EroticMusings 39 — Western erotica has long used the exotic, mysterious East as a canvas. Postcolonialist Edward Said criticized Orientalism as "theatrical ... the stage on which the whole East is confined." Whatever your background, does your erotica explore themes of the "exotic" and/or of "otherness"?

Otherness, yes, but never anything exotic in terms of things that would coincide with this prompt and how the word itself could be taken. The "otherness" you'll find in my stories will be supernatural things, or in a Science Fiction or Science Fiction Fantasy (#SFF) way. A good majority of my stories I write are both spicy and sweet romances. I've written paranormal romance, romantic fantasy, romantasy, dark romance, etc. Just reading the prompt made me cringe. "Orientalism" is painful to read.

#EroticMusings 39 — Where / how do you promote your erotica? Is it effective? How do you evaluate that?

Honestly, I just promote my romance stories (various kinds of romance with occasional spice) here on Mastodon. I don't have the energy to be anywhere else, and most sites are ones that I am thoroughly against these days, so...
