    @MakersHour A2 I would love to fast forward tidying up. I can get very ‘stuff-blind’ and find it hard to sort and tidy. #MakersHour

      A2 cleaning the workshop. Working in a shared makerspace, I have to clean up at the end of every workshop session. This is time consuming. Would be great to spend this up.

        Hmm, that's difficult one. I sew by hand because I prefer it, so even though a machine would be quicker, I don't use it.

        I suppose when it comes to miniaturing, glue setting is a slow point. I don't necessarily want superglue speed, but perhaps a little faster than PVA.

        Perhaps I need to speed up all the other stuff, that gets in the way of making!

          @quixoticgeek @MakersHour We’re all saying the same thing!!! Tidying is boring and feels like a waste of time.

            @MakersHour I am currently trying to show down my making, because I enjoy making clothes, but I have to many clothes already (and making clothes for others is stressful). But tracing and cutting out patterns is pretty tedious and time consuming, so I wouldn't mind if that could be faster.

              Q2: If you could speed up one process in your making what would it be and why?

              A2: Drying! I have an affliction called VLP - Very Little Patience. Whether it’s glue, paint, varnish, oil or anything else that requires not being wet, I just want it done so I can carry on.

                    Q2: what to speed up?

                    A2: decision making. I'm very prone to analysis paralysis. When the actual making is slow, that can be a nice thing.

                    (And from other responses, yeah. Faster cleanup would be nice too. But decision making would still by my #1 thing to do faster)

                        @tschundler
                        I can't do that 'Just start making' thing as I need to think through almost every step and problem before I can start. But when I do start I can whizz through as I know exactly what needs doing.

                        However, it does come down the 'When I do start' stage. That can sometimes be a long way down the line if I don't have a completion date to work to.

                          The number of iterations it takes to get something im satisfied with. I get frustrated by the thing in my hand not matching the design in my head.
