Random lesson: never buy a bright white shirt for using for hiking. Dirt/sweat just makes it gross and grungy. Not even sure I want to turn it into a shopping bag. (I won't wear it, because... grungy looking all the time). If it weren't white, it would still be wearable. #hiking

Hmm, RitDye More will do it! Maybe I'll try that, just for the heck of it. (not that I need another shirt, but if I can get more wear out of it and keep it out of a landfill, that would be great!)

Okay, looks like I'me going to attempt a Japanese "Arashi" pattern, lol. The dye company claims you can do this with polyester, with their polyster-specific dye.

Soaked the shirt overnight in Simple Green, and making polyester shirt stew with soda ash. It's whiter than it has been in years 🤔#dyeing #diy
