@mattsheffield the masks are uncanny.

@sanguish @jonhendry It seems to me that the point was that art used to shape public perception, in a way that made them different from regular people.
Today's oligarchs are doing the exact same thing but on a much greater scale--and with far less public attention to their activities as such.

Creepy… I miss the part where they sniff each others asses…
Not sure why Warhol and Picasso are there btw… should have added Trump, Vance, Rubio and Hegseth

@xs4me2 Definitely the most striking thing I've seen in a long time.
I guess we can agree to disagree regarding the artists. Their inclusion is meant to be ironic rather than disturbing, even though that is hard to dissociate from their appearance.

The Zuckerberg one is no good - looks much more human than the original. -

The faces and their realism make or break this presentation indeed.
Quite shocking…

@mattsheffield nitpick: Those aren't Boston Dynamics robots. It's hard to tell given the paint job but they look like UniTree to me?

@mattsheffield Beeple is a grifting hack who was ground zero for the NFT con. He made millions selling auto-generated monkey JPEGs. Screw this guy.

@mattsheffield I won't let that change my opinion of him.
Also, "look I put a famous person's head on a robot" is the same exact picture he's been drawing for a decade. He was lapped by skibidi toilet years ago. Get a new idea.

@jwz He is giving away the NFTs for this exhibit though, it is worth pointing out.
But there is a lot of irony in saying capitalism is terrible as you rake in millions of dollars selling art to oligarchs.

@mattsheffield I see he's using his real name, after "Beeple" became most associated with "scam artist, Beeple" thanks to his #NFT grift.
