Surprise: @protonprivacy wants us to add tracking links to our website. That is an odd suggestion coming from a “privacy” company. Should we take their bribe?
We get a lot of weird suggestions by e-mail but only one company (#nordvpn) tried to bribe us before: https://fedifreu.de/@switchingsoftware/114223190053914164

@switchingsoftware @protonprivacy Proton don’t have a .ch domain, if I recall. I’d suspect that is phishing.

@nemo Maybe they want us to stop recommending @protonprivacy.

Lawd, I mean, yeah—you folks also have to earn money and need telemetry to calculate this, etc., etc., but please don't offer something like this to our friends

You folks do a very decent job and have very valuable tools, and one can see that you folks are on the rarer end of actual companies who try to do something very positive for privacy & security for regular people…
Please don't do it in that fashion…

DPI resistance is still missing for the Linux clients for the VPN, and post-quantum security for the VPN should also be appended, hopefully this year.

Here they literally say, “Proton owns the proton.ch domain.”
@protonprivacy uses it for their staff. That is why it is not available for e-mail customers.
Use proton.ch domain
Some users want to use a domain that is under Swiss jurisdiction. This is why Proton lets us end our addresses with protonmail.ch. However, that domain is quite long. This is why Proton added pm.me as an alias and then added proton.me as an optional ending. The .me domain is under the jurisdiction of Montenegro, who is a member of NATO and is joining the European Union. Proton owns the proton.ch domain. Please let us end our email addresses with proton.ch instead of proton.me.
