      Agree fully. I have a hard time disentangling the effects of Christianity from capitalism from colonialism in regard to how it changed our view of nature. (And, honestly, there may not be much value in it given how entwined they all have been.)

      Robin Wall Kimmerer expands on this theme wonderfully in Braiding Sweetgrass, which is still one of my all-time favorite books.
