    LLVM crashes! prints a stack trace! compiler bug!

      @federicomena I hope you have a machine with decent specs. A couple years ago, my main laptop was stolen from me (I'm kind of embarrassed about how it happened). Up until then, I thought I'd try to get another year or two out of that machine that I'd had since 2017, although I'm pretty sure I could have justified a new one, but now I'm glad that I don't have that old thing anymore. My new laptop has much better specs. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but if I'm, say, compiling WebKit or whatever, then it definitely does.

        @MikeGorse oh, the machine is fine; it's the one Suse sent me last year. It's a big and heavy fuckin' brick, but plenty fast. I wish the SSD were bigger, but I think it's easy to replace or add a second one.

          @federicomena I'm amazed at how cheap external drives are, too. A few years ago, I bought a 4tb external drive for around $100. I probably don't need it as much now that I have a 1tb ssd, but I use it sometimes to store vm and iso images that I don't use very often, and to back things up when I remember to (I really need to be better about that).
