    @gleick

    Completely shaken after watching them tackle a vet and break his hand for exercising free speech. Damn those military leaders for not even turning around to check on him. Cowards. Cowards. Sheehy should be ashamed.

          Montana rings a bell. Isn't Sheehy the one who violently assaulted a reporter in his office just a couple years ago, and somehow escaped any charges?

              This was an assault by a civilian on a civilian. It wasn't a part of Sheehy's job. Capitol Hill police are fully staffed and were doing their job at the time. Sheehy did not act in defense of self or others. He wanted to play he-man and volunteered when his help wasn't needed. He's a former SEAL: the standards for his use of force are high.

                    @gleick I hope he gets hit with a *massive* lawsuit.

                    At the very minimum he committed physical assault, and actually breaking an arm brings it up to a pretty serious degree. It's the kind of thing that generally brings along big punitive damages.

                    I don't even think Trump judges can help him. But this is the kind of thing that likely wouldn't go up before one anyway.

                    Sic him!

                      if the victim is powerless nothing happens

                      if the victim is someone else powerful in the ruling party, it's battery

                          @huntingdon @gleick This is one reason I think former military members, especially men, should not hold elected office.
