    @lzg Oh gosh, you should talk to @beccadax about how much of a fuss I make when I see a pretty flower... AND SIMPLY MUST PHOTOGRAPH IT AND IDENTIFY IT.

          @lzg I lived in a place with garden lizards and I always marveled at seeing them even though everyone had lizards in their garden.

            When I lived on the Gulf coast we had green anoles running around the house, they never bothered me at all, kept their poop to themselves and carried away insect carcasses. 👍🏻
            Would cohabit with again.

              @lzg My friend once said that if space aliens discovered the existence of humans, they might not pay any more attention to us than we pay to ants.

              I was like, buddy, you're really not stopping to check out the ants? You're not even slightly curious what they're up to? I'm pretty excited about any ant I see.

              If there were lizards where I live, I would of course be thrilled by them too. (I greatly enjoyed geckos during a trip to Indonesia as a child.)

                      @lzg

                      I was once on what I later figured out was probably construed as a date, & I was delighting the density line between the unsugared tea infused water in the top half of my glass mug, & the denser, sweetened water in the bottom half. When I pointed this out to the waiter, who seemed similarly amused, the guy I was with said, "Don't get out much, do ya?"

                      I was a bit gobsmacked, to be honest.

                                I mean, he seemed a nice enough person when I randomly struck up a conversation with him (which he said "people don't generally do" 🤷)

                                After we finished that visit, he informed me he wasn't interested in getting together anymore. It was only at that point that I twigged that he apparently thought we were on a date.

                                •I• thought I was having tea with a potential new friend.

                                I guess we were both wrong! 😂

                                  @lzg When we vacationed in St. Petersburg, FL when the kids were little, stepping outdoors meant excitedly watching lizards in every flowerbed around us. People would stop to see what was so interesting and they'd be so bored and disappointed to find it was "just" lizards.
