Ok this may not be a popular stance…
I saw the premiere of #StarWars at the Curran Theatre on Geary St. in San Francisco in 1977. Perhaps, because I had read so much literature before — fairy tales, sci-fi, novels — the story screamed "derivative".
Couple that with the bombastic, "cue card" soundtrack by John Williams and, well, … I have never been a fan.
