    @jwz I prefer we make up a new clearer and distinct term like "authentist" or "anti-slopper"

    @Bredroll
    Someone who uses these things could be named an 'ai-er' or 'air' in short.

      @alterelefant It might work well to coopt "airhead" - "ai-er head"

            If anyone is an "AI vegan" it's me -- I don't use these tools at all, ever, because they are unethical. Telling me that they are delicious is not going to make them ethical.

            Also, I will endlessly berate you about your use.

            That's veganism, you're welcome.

              I get it, but even if I changed jobs the likelihood of that other job morphing to include AI use is high, so I'm not gonna feel _too_ guilty about doing the task I'm assigned, when it's sometimes literally "get me a CoPilot summary of X in format Y".

                @jwz as an actual vegan I've encountered a depressingly high number of vegans who support LLMs because "at least they're not as bad as beef"

                    @jaystephens @jwz > "get me a CoPilot summary of X in format Y" 🤣 Why can't the person who asked for this do it _themselves_?!?! The amount of laziness and sheer objection to you know, doing this, is fucking ridiculous!

                          that may be true environmentally but it disregards the damage to our brains and to our trust and integrity.

                          it's so depressing that those speaking up for #AnimalLiberation have started pushing #AIslop, because truthfulnes is so important.

                          we will no longer be able to push back on »those #slaughterhouse videos are fake« if videos, photos and texts we're sharing are #disinfo slop half the time.
