AGI - Donald Trump avverte l'Iran e i suoi alti rappresentanti politici e militari: "Non abbiamo nemmeno iniziato a colpirli duramente, la grande ondata non c'è nemmeno stata. La grande ondata sta arrivando presto e non escludo l'invio di truppe di terra statunitensi se necessario. Ma probabilmente non ne abbiamo bisogno". Dopo tre giorni di attacchi il presidente americano ricorda alla Cnn che "ben 49 leader" del regime degli Ayatollah "sono stati eliminati e gli iraniani non sanno più chi adesso guida il Paese. Non sanno chi c'è alla guida. È un po' come la fila per la disoccupazione".
"L'Iran è una minaccia colossale"
Trump ha detto che "l'Iran è una minaccia colossale non solo per il Medio Oriente, ma anche per l'America, i suoi missili potrebbero raggiungere l'America. Il nostro stesso Paese potrebbe essere sotto minaccia". "Avevamo avvertito l'Iran di non tentare di ricostruire in un'altra località i siti nucleari distrutti l'anno scorso - ha poi affermato per giustificare l'attacco congiunto con Israele - ma hanno ignorato questi avvertimenti e si sono rifiutati di cessare la loro ricerca di armi nucleari. Il regime iraniano possedeva missili capaci di colpire l'Europa e le nostre basi, e presto avrebbe avuto missili capaci di raggiungere la nostra splendida America", ha ripetuto il presidente degli Stati Uniti: "Pensavamo di avere un accordo sul nucleare ma poi loro si sono tirati indietro".
Vendetta per i soldati e la potenza militare
Trump ha anche promesso di vendicare la morte di quattro soldati americani, uccisi dalla risposta iraniana all'attacco Usa. "In loro memoria, continuiamo questa missione con una determinazione feroce e incrollabile per schiacciare la minaccia che questo regime terroristico rappresenta per il popolo americano, e minaccia lo è davvero. Abbiamo l'esercito più forte e potente, di gran lunga, del mondo, e prevarremo facilmente".
