I am devastated by the news that ParMaster has ascended to the VX heavens.

A hacker with more lore and history than nearly any can claim. Supportive to others, and a guy who just honestly wanted to be your friend.

I will miss our chats, pal.

And here is Par doing a recent interview telling his stories.

You should give it a listen.

I remember when I was first getting on BBS and this guy was already out there, a whisper.

Exploiting Soviet Mainframes and causing international incidents.

I was fortunate to later get to know him.

It cannot be understated how much he was in the camp of the good ones.

@thegibson Parmaster was one of the best. I really enjoyed sitting in the CTF at DC 6 with him.

          Ah dang! Sad news! RIP.

ParMaster was how I and some friends got access to x.25 GOD (Global Out Dials) in the 408 back in the day.

Until I found a Livingston Portmaster with telnet access (from which I eventually found outdials I could telnet into) I thought I was set thanks to that .NFO.
