My bikeride on the ice yesterday really was fun, but a bit worried if a vessel would come along and break the ice between me and land. Well apparently this actually happened to those who had ventured farther out to Pörtö, Söderskär and others. Someone decided to open the ice around Pörtö.

I e-mailes the authorities asking if they post a message beforehand. Apparently not, and they don't recommend people moving on the ice. Weird reply. Why couldn't they post a warning for people living on those islands?
