@GossiTheDog 5 years later, in Portland, Sarah suggested to the captain's staff that the naval police unit be relocated into a portacabin on the air station so she and her Lt husband could use the unit's substantial former mansion as their married quarter. The captain summoned Andrew, put him in his place and told him to put his silly wife in hers.

@dtwx @GossiTheDog I did once hear from someone who had to refuse a general access to an aircraft that the phrase you can use in this case is "Don't confuse your rank with my authority" (i.e. whatever rank you are, many roles in the forces give someone total authority over something and only their chain of command can override them).

indeed... always believe people when they show you who they are. and how someone treats "subordinates" is always a really good clue.
