    Once, I showed an American visitor around the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in #Kassel , and at one point she stopped, caught her breath, and asked me:

    "How do you manage to walk uphill and talk at the same time?"

      @juergen_hubert I had a business trip to LA once. At hotel reception they booked me a restaurant and asked if they could call me a taxi there. I could see the restaurant on the other side of the road!

        @mattjohns

        To be fair, walking anywhere in an American city could mean risking your life.

          @juergen_hubert I'm hoping that my Mexican girlfriend can handle Wilhelmshöhe when I take her for her first trip to Germany this summer! She's all excited from the pictures but I think we will need to do some daily walks before then to get her used to it. 😄

            @bishop6

            That may be wise.

            A friend of mine from South Africa lived here for 14 years, but she was still out of breath very quickly when we climbed a minor hill near Bielefeld two weeks ago.
